Janna Emig is a Brooklyn-based film and television editor with a passion for character-driven storytelling and a keen eye for visual rhythm. She began her career in post-production after earning a B.F.A. in Theater from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, later refining her technical skills through intensive training at the Manhattan Edit Workshop.
Janna has contributed to a diverse array of projects across film and television. Her editorial work includes the feature films Ghostwritten (2021) and She’s Clean (2022), as well as the short film Gorgeous (2024).
She has also served as an assistant editor on notable productions such as I, Tonya (2017), Maniac (Netflix), Paint (2023), and I Saw the TV Glow (2024).
Beyond her editing work, Janna is dedicated to mentoring aspiring filmmakers. She serves as a Creative Portfolio Mentor in TV/Film Production and Dramatic Writing at Global Girls Prep, where she helps young women develop their storytelling voices and prepare for careers in the arts.
